On our first full day back in Costa Rica we went back to UCR (the University of Costa Rica), where we studied abroad 3 years ago. It brought back good memories!
My daily walk to school. It takes about 10 minutes to walk from my house to the UCR.
The Letras building (where I had my Philosophy class).

Left: A view of the street to walk to get from class to class. Right: Banana trees growing freely at the university!
Left: We went to a crepe cafe for a midmorning snack and we were shocked that they were playing country music! In Costa Rica, eating crepes, and listening to Luke Bryan haha | Right: At the UCR there are several "sodas," small cafeterias. This one is my favorite and every day for lunch they serve "casados," (casado = married) which is always some type of meat (or vegeterian dish), beans, rice, a salad, a vegetable, and fried plantains (although as you can see in this picture, we were gypped on the plantains!) |
After a fun day of wandering around la U we went out for ice cream with our good friend Freddy at Pops, the heladería (ice cream shop) that we frequent often :)
